My 6th aunt who works with Singapore Press Holding is always sending me “cute” and “adorable” things every fortnightly. Videos? Fine. Animated pictures? Fine. Unpublished news stories? Fine. Season greetings? Fine.

Chinese poetry? I’ll block you for life.

The thing is, from time to time I will get to open up a document heaping with Chinese characters. I would get so perplexed about such Chinese-cursed emails that I actually consider putting her under the Blocked Senders List.

I received an email from her yesterday with a subject line that I think wouldn’t have made a difference if it has one or not. I hesitated when I was about to open the message. However, at the end of the day, I am glad I did.

So instead of a subject line that said ‘creative’, it should have been ‘Draw me a PENIS!’

“I actually wonder if the person was actually so talented. Or is it that he started by morphing every cartoon drawing into penises and nude women? That would have been sadistic.”
